International Mobility
The University of Catania, in line with the objectives set out in the 2022/26 Strategic Plan and in relation to ministerial indicators, aims to strengthen the international dimension of its teaching and research by promoting the exchange of faculty and students, encouraging international mobility initiatives not regulated by other programs (Erasmus+, Marie Curie, Fulbright, Horizon 2020, MIUR).
To this end, the University’s International Mobility Program regulates and registers the incoming and outgoing mobility of faculty (Visiting Professor), researchers (Visiting Researcher), and students (Visiting Student) for study, training, teaching, and research activities with foreign organizations and institutions. This is aimed at improving transparency and monitoring information on the mobility of the teaching staff and students.

An annual University/MUR fund for incentivizing international mobility, both incoming and outgoing, may be established to cover, either partially or fully, this type of international exchange. A committee, appointed by a rector's decree, will distribute the available funds, taking into account parameters already defined in the University's Strategic Plan and others to be identified.
