Erasmus Professors – STA Mobility
This action is addressed to incoming professors selected for didactic mobility under the Erasmus Plus Programme within interistitutional Erasmus Agreements signed between their institution and the hosting department in Catania. Joint mobilities in departments dealing with similar topics can be exceptionally performed if a specific authorization by the department that has signed the interistitutional agreement is included in the acceptance letter.
Such mobility will not be financed by the University of Catania and it can take place from October to July every academic year (in August and September there is no provision of didactic activities).
Application procedures
The incoming professors can perform a teaching mobility in a department in Catania that has signed an interistitutional Erasmus Agreements with the sending institution. Joint mobilities in departments dealing with similar topics can be exceptionally performed if a specific authorization by the department that has signed the interistitutional agreement is included in the acceptance letter.
Therefore the professor has to contact the colleague responsible for the Interistitutional Erasmus Agreement at the University of Catania, in order to get the Invitation Letter signed by the Erasmus Departmental Coordinator. This Invitation Letter must include dates, number of hours and topic of teaching activity to be provided, and has to be uploaded while filling in the application form online. The IMO, once received the application, will send an official Acceptance letter, by e-mail, to the applicant Professor. This letter will be signed by the Erasmus Institutional Coordinator and, upon his absence, by IMO Coordinator.

Teaching activities
Once in Catania, the incoming professor will perform the scheduled teaching activity, coordinated by the referring professor in Catania.
Teaching activities certification
At the end of the mobility period, the incoming professor will provide IDU with a Teaching Activity Report , signed by the Erasmus / International Departmental Coordinator. The IDU, after checked documentation, will send the certification to the IRO that provides the incoming professor with the Attendance certificate (sent by e-mail).
