Abstract
The health crisis caused by COVID-19 forced social isolation in Europe and the sudden adaptation of the educational system and learning processes of universities to a digital model that had rarely been used before. The social isolation caused many difficulties and also the disappearance of inter-university networks that, under normal circumstances, would have tried to be cohesive and find strategies to deal with common difficulties. Distance learning was introduced without due preparation in digital teaching practices.
The aim of this project is to re-establish a university network that enables the strengthening of connections between European universities, starting by the teaching staff intended as anchor for intra- and inter-university communication, facilitating the creation of a network for the transfer of knowledge related to the good use of digital tools and the development of flexible teaching practices. The project will also provide an on-line learning program in on-line teaching methods, to instructs teachers on the possible implementation and adaptation of distance teaching, in order to move towards the design and experimentation of flexible teaching formulas that can respond more effectively to the needs of a sustainable and environmentally friendly way of working.
