Road Safety Management
SIIV, the Italian association of professors and researchers in the field of transportation engineering, organizes an international Summer School on road network safety management "Theoretical principles and practical application in the framework of the European Directive 2008/96/CE".
The topic of the Summer School has a direct reference to the European Directive 2008/96/CE on Road infrastructure safety management with the aim to present the state of the art of research and practical applications in the field of road safety impact assessment for projects (article 3 of EU directive), road safety audits (art. 4) and inspection (art. 6), safety ranking and management (art. 5).
The 2012 SIIV Summer School will be held September 24-28, 2012 at the Galatea Sea Palace, Acitrezza,
Catania.
