Intensive Summer School on Serious and Organised Crime
The Erasmus IP Summer School on Serious and Organised Crime (ISSOC) is an advanced and high quality training program offered to Masters students eager to promote the study and discussion on the topic of serious and organised crime and to the shifting challenges regarding its prevention. This project will be particularly focused on the relevance of the European financial and economic crises on the criminal activities and on the way of tackling with it by European Union.
The University of Catania will manage the program in cooperation with the University of Bath (UK), the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (Poland) and the Masarykova univerzita (Czech Republic).
It will be hosted at the University of Catania (Italy) in June 2014 and for two weeks 25 students (10 from Catania and 15 from host institutions) will be selected and trained by distinguished professors senior scholars as well as specialized practitioners. The program is also supported by the European Consortium for Political Research and by the STanding Group on Organised Crime.
